Montreal Life Travel & Food

June Monthly Round-Up

So as May, June was another animated month with a lot of things happening whether it was about the blog, daily life and activities, travels or food.

This month, I wrote about 11 new articles on the blog, including four new articles on the Top 10 Things to Do and Top 10 Places to Eat in Yucatan Peninsula & Paris. These articles were highly appreciated by my bloggers community. But they also helped me reach out a massive number of people in Mexico, hence building a new active audience for my blog. Stay tuned as more top 10 articles will be coming soon in July on the blog.

I also had the opportunity to collaborate with Luxury Travel and FlyNYOn.

June was another very busy month in terms of travels. No sooner had I just moved to Montreal than I already was on the move again. I kind of spent the month between Canada and US. In fact, we had some great weekend getaways in Quebec; but I also had the chance to go to New York City for a week.

The first trip was in the Lanaudière area where we spent a beautiful stay by the Thomas Lake in Saint-Didace. The weather was amazing and we really enjoyed the outdoor activities such as kayaking, canoeing, taking a paddle boat or trekking.

While we were in the area, we took the chance to also visit the Mauricie National Park for a small trek. The landscapes were stunning and we would definitely go back for a longer trek.

I also had the chance to go to the New York City for a week for work. I really love the Big Apple and felt so grateful for having had the opportunity to go there for a week. Work was amazing, so was the weather and the food.

Right after New York, we went on a long weekend getaway in Le Massif de Charlevoix, to celebrate Quebec’s national day. Charlevoix is one of the most beautiful areas of Quebec as it offers breathtaking views over the mountains and the Saint-Lawrence River. The number of outdoor activities are endless. However, the area is also perfect just for relaxing in a chalet.

Daily Life & Activities

As the weather started getting nicer in June, we were more tempted into doing outdoor activities. So we tried a couple of new adventurous things which were super exciting.

I got to play golf, at least I gave it a try. It was really nice and fun, yet rather difficult at the same time. Nevertheless, it gave me a taste for continuing this sport.

But we also went a more adventurous project at Tyroparc to throw ourselves in mega zip lines. This looked so scary at first and the adrenaline level was very high each time you jump on a zip line. But it was so much fun and I would go back any time without hesitation.

On a sweeter note, we also tried a new spa complex close to Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts in Quebec, called Polar Bear Spa. The spa was truly superb, settled on a small river which people could use as a natural cooling pool. The overall surroundings were beautiful. In fact, it felt like you were in the middle of nowhere, which was perfect for a relaxing moment.

As the weather started getting better and better in June, that meant that the barbecue grill also started firing up more and more often. In fact, I really love food cooked on a hot charcoal grill. Wouldn’t you agree to that?

However, besides all the great barbecues I have had last month, I also discovered a great number of new restaurants. Most of them happen to be in NYC as I dined in new places each day. For example, I discovered Cafe Medi and ARoqa which just opened a few weeks ago. I cannot wait to tell you more about them and others in July.
