Chop Chop! Amazing and juicy meat cuts can be tasted at Boston Chops. This urban chophouse is a little foodie heaven for meat lovers and foodies alike. Not only the food is mouthwatering but the Boston ambiance is also stunning.
Boston Chops is a high end steakhouse located in South End. The restaurant is rather modern and casual, with a refined twist. The ambiance is dark and moody, chic and classy, masculine and meaty. The decor is electric, with dim lightning, dark tufted leather banquettes, dark wooden tables without tablecloths, exposed bricks, and high ceiling space. The waitstaf’s attire is neat and also representative of the stylish and hip ambiance.
The menu is diverse and offers all the steakhouse classics including juicy cuts of meats, as well as some other interesting options like the raw bar.
We visited Boston Chops while in a week-end trip in Massachusetts. Those who know me a little would know how much I love having a phenomenal cut of meat for dinner… even if I hardly every finish it. Steakhouse restaurants are definitely my favourites. As it was my birthday weekend, there was no better place than Boston Chops to celebrate it.
The restaurant was rather busy on that Saturday night we were visiting. However, we were seated pretty quickly to our table and a nice member of the waitstaff took care of us throughout the entire evening.
I usually don’t order starters when dining out in a steakhouse as I tend to prefer just having an enormous cut of meat. However, we were first served some fresh popovers, which was a great way to start our meal. We ordered a 20 oz prime chateaubriand for two people as well as the herb roasted fingerling potato side to share. We also ordered a nice bottle of red wine to accompany our meal.
Honestly, I do not know where to start with explaining how tender, juicy and tasty the meat was. It definitely was a high quality cut, which was cooked to perfection. In fact, the steak was melting in our mouth like butter. Also, the potato side was original, mouthwatering, and flavourful. The portions were just perfect for two as we could still order some dessert.
In that sense, we continued sharing the Boston cream pops which consisted of popovers filled with vanilla cream, topped up with chocolate and crumble. The dessert was delicious, rich and perfect for sharing. It was a nice touch to finish the meal.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and dinner at Boston Chops. It was a great place for meat lovers like me but also for special occasions. Everything was perfect from the restaurant’s energetic vibe, the delicious food and wine menu and friendly service. Obviously, you must be ready to pay the price for such high end experience but it it is totally worth the occasional splurge.
