Montreal Life Travel & Food

August Monthly Round-Up

Life was rather busy in August. With Montreal hosting tons of activities for its 375th anniversary, the numerous restaurants that opened in town, and myself celebrating my first blog-versary, I simply could not get bored!

This month, I did celebrate the first blog-versary of The Oufti Perspective. Since one year, I have been enjoying very much writing loads of blog articles, travelling the world, discovering new places and restaurants and tasting delicious specialties. It has been such an amazing journey and I am really excited to continue it.

Life & Travel

August was relatively calm in terms of travel. Instead, life in Montreal was rather busy. I re-started playing tennis again, took benefit of the warm sunny days to meet with friends for a drink, at a park or at home for a delicious meal. There were so many activities going on in Montreal for its 375th annivrsary as well. And as every year, there also was the popular music festival “Osheaga” where I went for a day with a few friends. It was a lot of fun and so cool to get to see live wonderful artists such as Muse, Jain or Fritz Kalkbrenner.

One of my favourite activities this month was relaxing and there is no better spot than StrΓΈm Nordic Spa to do so. There are so many spa’s in Montreal but StrΓΈm is definitely the one I love the most. The setting is pure, natural and romantic. The facilities are top notch and the service is extremely friendly.

Finally, I also had a chance to travel to Toronto for 3 days and had an amazing time. The vibes in Toronto are so different from the ones in Montreal. Toronto is such a dynamic city that can be compared to New York.

This summer, so many new restaurants opened in Montreal. In that sense, I could not hold to try some of them but the one I really had a crush on was Kozu, a super trendy Izakaya that offers delicious food, a lively ambiance and that welcomes a chic clientele.

In Toronto, I also got to discover an amazing Thai restaurant called Pai. The restaurant was an amazing lively spot, very busy, fun and affordable. The food was so tasty and authentic that it felt like I was travelling back to Thailand for a moment.

So here were my adventures from August 2017. There will be even more coming in September and I cant wait to already tell you about them. Stay tuned πŸ™‚
